Zelensky sacks his ambassador to Britain over criticism

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has fired his ambassador to the UK, Vadim Prystaiko. Pristiko publicly criticized Zelensky a few days ago. A statement issued by the Office of the President of Ukraine on Friday said that Pristiko has been removed from the post of ambassador and representative of Ukraine to the International Maritime Organization.

However, he did not specify the reason for the dismissal. In fact, during a NATO summit in Lithuania, Britain’s Defense Secretary Ben Wallace said that Kiev should show more gratitude for the help it receives from the West.

At this, Zelensky quipped that if Wallace wanted, the people of Ukraine could wake up every morning and thank him personally. Speaking to Sky News on this statement, Pristiko criticized Zelensky. He said that such unhealthy rhetoric is not in the interest of the country.

Wallace said – we are helping Ukraine, but we are not an Amazon service
Wallace said during the NATO summit held on July 11-12 – Western countries are continuously helping Ukraine in its war with Russia. Like it or not, people want Western countries to be praised for this help. When I traveled 11 hours in Ukraine in June last year, I said that we are not an Amazon service.

If a country is helping you, you have to tell it time and time again that its efforts are not wasted. He is also getting credit for this help.
